Dacoit Gets U/A Certificate, Set for April 10 Release

With just days to go before its theatrical release, Adivi Sesh's much-awaited Dacoit has successfully completed the censorship process, receiving a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. The romantic revenge thriller, directed by Shaneil Deo, has locked its runtime at 2 hours and 32 minutes.

The film faced some initial hurdles during the censorship review, with board members raising objections to certain scenes and seeking clarifications on specific dialogues. However, the production team addressed these concerns by making necessary modifications and providing detailed explanations, ultimately satisfying the censorship authorities.

At the film's pre-release event, Victory Venkatesh graced the occasion as chief guest, showering praise on both Sesh and leading lady Mrunal Thakur. "When I saw Sesh in Panjaa, I knew he would become a fine actor. Every film he has done has been a smashing success," Venkatesh remarked, expressing confidence that Dacoit would emerge as another blockbuster in Sesh's filmography.

The event also carried emotional significance for producer Supriya Yarlagadda, who spoke about reviving SS Creations, the banner originally founded by her father. Her brother Sumanth is serving as the silent producer on the project, making it a true family affair.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda, who attended the event, reflected on his journey alongside Sesh in the industry. "Sesh and I started our journeys around the same time. When Sesh made Kshanam, I did Guntur Talkies," he shared, acknowledging how his contemporary has consistently raised the bar with each project.

Dacoit marks the Telugu debut of Zain Marie Khan, Aamir Khan's niece, who plays a powerful police officer role. The film also features Anurag Kashyap and Prakash Raj in key roles, with Bheems Ceciroleo composing the music. After multiple delays, the action-thriller is finally set to hit screens on April 10, promising audiences a fresh cinematic experience in the romantic revenge genre.
