The Telugu film industry's director musical chairs have taken an interesting turn as Koratala Siva, riding high on Devara's success, has locked his next project with Nandamuri Balakrishna after finding himself in a waiting game with Jr NTR.

While Koratala has the Devara 2 script ready and waiting, NTR's calendar has become increasingly packed with his ambitious collaboration with Prashanth Neel taking center stage. The NTRNeel project, as fans are calling it, has evolved into something far grander than initially anticipated: industry sources now confirm it's being planned as a two-part epic with Part 1 targeting June 2027 and Part 2 eyeing December of the same year.

This development has opened doors for Koratala to pursue his long-standing desire to work with Balakrishna. The director-actor combination has been in discussions, and Balayya has reportedly green-lit Koratala's script. The timing works perfectly. Balakrishna will wrap the major portions of his current mass entertainer NBK111 with Gopichand Malineni before dedicating dates to Koratala from June or July.

The NBK-Koratala project will be jointly bankrolled by Sudhakar Cherukuri's SLV Cinemas and Sudhakar Mikkilineni's Yuvasudha Arts, with an official announcement expected soon. This represents a significant shift for Koratala, who has primarily worked with younger heroes in recent years.

Meanwhile, the NTRNeel phenomenon continues building momentum with parallel shooting schedules and NTR undergoing a striking physical transformation. The first glimpse is slated for May 20, 2025, which should give us a clearer picture of Neel's trademark cinematic universe meeting NTR's star power.

For Koratala, this pivot to Balayya might be exactly what his career needs: a chance to showcase his storytelling prowess with a mass hero who's been consistently delivering hits. Sometimes the best opportunities come from unexpected scheduling conflicts.
