Naga Shaurya Banks on Prabhas Connection for Bad Boy Karthik Success

Naga Shaurya is riding high on confidence as his upcoming mass entertainer Bad Boy Karthik gears up for theatrical release. At the film's pre-release event, the actor revealed an interesting superstition: he's banking on co-star Sridevi to bring him the same fortune she delivered to Prabhas during the Rebel Star's debut.

"Prabhas anna did his debut film with her, so I'm hoping a bit of that good luck shines on me too," Shaurya shared, acknowledging the veteran actress's track record with launching careers. It's a charming bit of film industry folklore, and given Prabhas's subsequent pan-India dominance, who can blame Shaurya for wanting some of that magic?

Directed by Ramesh and produced by Srinivasa Rao Chintalapudi along with partners Vijaya Kumar and Ashok Kumar, Bad Boy Karthik promises to showcase Shaurya in an entirely new avatar. Producer Chintalapudi emphasized that audiences will witness the actor "in a shade he has never attempted before," positioning this as a full-throttle commercial entertainer packed with action sequences.

The film also marks the Telugu debut of heroine Vidhi Yadav, whom Shaurya welcomed warmly at the event. Behind the camera, cinematographer Rasool Ellore has handled the visuals, earning particular praise from the lead actor who quipped that Ellore "would've made a fantastic hero himself" if he'd entered acting at the right time.

What's particularly encouraging is the producers' confidence despite the film's challenging journey. Chintalapudi openly addressed industry skeptics, saying people tease them that this might be their "first and last movie," but defiantly announced they're already rolling into their next project by June. That kind of bullish attitude suggests genuine belief in their product.

With Bad Boy Karthik hitting screens on April 17th, all eyes are on whether Shaurya's mass makeover will resonate with audiences and give his career the commercial boost it needs.
