People Media Factory Plots Sequel Spree After Raja Saab Setback
Production house announces four major sequels including OG 2 and Goodachari 2 to bounce back

In what looks like a strategic pivot after the disappointing performance of Prabhas's Raja Saab, People Media Factory has announced an ambitious slate of four sequels that could reshape their production trajectory over the next couple of years.
The most intriguing addition to their roster is OG 2, starring Pawan Kalyan. With original producer DVV Danayya reportedly stepping back from the sequel, People Media Factory has swooped in to bankroll what promises to be another stylish action spectacle. Director Sujeeth will helm the project after completing Nani's Bloody Romeo, with shooting scheduled for the second half of 2027.
On the immediate horizon is Goodachari 2, which is already halfway through production. The Adivi Sesh starrer, co-produced with AK Entertainments and Abhishek Agarwal Arts, is being positioned for a pan-Indian release next year. Given how the original Goodachari carved out its own niche in the spy thriller space, expectations are naturally high for this sequel.
Perhaps the most technically ambitious project in their pipeline is Mirai 2. The original Mirai set new benchmarks for Telugu cinema in terms of budget utilization and visual quality, and director Karthik Ghattamaneni is reportedly planning the sequel on an even more massive scale. The script development is currently underway.
Completing their sequel quartet is Zombie Reddy 2, with Prasanth Varma having already locked the script. Interestingly, while Teja Sajja returns as the lead, directorial duties have shifted to Suparn Verma. Pre-production is already in motion, targeting a summer 2027 release.
This sequel-heavy strategy reveals People Media Factory's calculated response to recent setbacks. Rather than experimenting with entirely new concepts, they're banking on established franchises with proven audience connect. It's a safer play that could either restore their credibility or trap them in a cycle of diminishing returns: the Telugu industry has seen both outcomes with sequel strategies.
